Training

The youth section train on a Saturday morning between 0900 and 1030 hours at the clubs own pitch at Warners Bridge Park. The children are trained according to their age, with a mixed group of under 8's and then the boys and girls up to under 12's are trained seperately.

Our under 14 girls and boys, train on a Tuesday night from 1800 hours.

For girls over 14 years there is training with the ladies on a Tuesday evening from 1915 to 2030 hours. The boys over 14 train with the men on Tuesday evenings from 2030 to 2200 hours

Essential Kit

The following should be brought to training each week;
Shin pads (compulsory)
Gum shield (strongly recommended)
Hockey stick (we have spares to lend if you are just starting)
Astros, or trainers if they have a good grip
Water

Fees and Subscriptions

There's a yearly membership fee of £10 and then subs of £80 split into two
payments: one of £40 at the start of the season and the second after
Christmas.
We also accept weekly payments for our occassional players.

Alliance Sports Mini Hockey League

The Club takes part in this league for Under 8's, Under 10's, Under 12's and Under 14's. The Essex clubs who take part are split into two Divisions of 6 and we are in Division 2. During the course of the season we play a number of tournaments at different clubs around Essex.

Essex Competitions

We also enter teams into the Essex junior competitions such as those for Under 10 and Under 12 girls and boys, which are the first round of the national competition. We also enter teams into the January indoor tournament at Brentwood for Under 11s, 13s, 16s and 18s.

Coaches

All of our trained coaches hold CRB certificates and Safeguarding Children qualifications. There are also qualified First Aiders at every training session.

Child Wefare Policy

The Club has its own Child Welfare Policy, copies of which are available on request. The Child Welfare Officer is Sarah Conway.
