For those of you not aware England (including Jonty Clarke) won the Mens European Hockey championship held at the end of August 2009 - this was not a fluke or Germans on a bad day - we were the better side - and proved it by winning the pool round (beat the Belgians 8-2, crushed the Austrians 5 - 0 and drew 4 - 4 with the Germans after being 4 - 2 up) - the Semi final saw a tense competition with the Dutch we finally won on a golden goal. We are the Champions and we have a great side - keep your eyes peeled for the Champions trophy in November - being held in Melbourne.
